IMMEDIATE OPPORTUNITY – Accounts Receivable Specialist

Grizzly Peak™, California’s premium, indoor grown flower brand, is looking for an experienced Accounts Receivable Specialist

 

The Accounts Receivable Specialist will issue invoices to customers or vendors, maintain accounting reports, and supervise collecting payments in an effort to keep all A/R accounts current. Will escalate past due accounts to A/R Manager or Controller for additional collection efforts. 

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Set up new clients and keep customer profiles current in company databases 

  • Review and organize billing files 

  • Ensure all billings are created accurately, processed, and submitted in a timely manner. 

  • Follow up on all customer accounts ensuring customer payments are received within contract terms. Escalate any delinquent or problem accounts 

  • Record and post cash receipts and transactions accurately. 

  • Perform accounts reconciliations in a timely and accurate manner 

  • Assist in internal and external audits. 

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Must be self-driven, highly motivated and able to work with minimal supervision. 

  • Excellent written/verbal communications skills, as well as organizational skills. 

  • Ability to multi-task and manage numerous projects simultaneously. 

  • Self-motivated - ability to set and obtain goals. 

  • Well versed in Microsoft Office and Microsoft Excel with experience in QuickBooks 

  • College Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration, and 3-5 years related experience and/or training preferred. 

Duties:

  • Keep client profiles up to date in QuickBooks 

  • Daily input of invoice data from POS system to QuickBooks, Cash Flow, and AR Plan 

  • Communicate with clients to schedule payment collections 

  • Provide timely follow‐up on payment arrangements 

  • Ensure all customers remain informed of their outstanding invoices and deadlines 

  • Update Cash and AR Plan as payments are confirmed daily 

  • Prep and post all cash, wires, ACH, and checks received 

  • Close payments received and deposit in Quick Books 

  • Run reconciliations between POS system and Quick Books 

  • Check P.O. Box 

Job Type: Full-time 

 

Pay: $20.00 per hour 

Schedule: 

  • Monday to Friday 

 

Education: 

  • Associate (Preferred) 

 

Experience: 

  • Accounting: 1 year (Preferred) 

  • Accounts Receivable: 1 year (Preferred)
